With the integration into the Duravant Group, Pattyn enters one of the most exciting phases in its history. It’s a moment of growth, evolution, and new opportunities — while staying true to the values that have shaped the company for decades.
At the heart of this evolution are two new leaders with their management team: Guillem Clofent and Stefaan Lips. Together, they now take the lead of the Pattyn Group, building on a strong legacy while setting the course for the future of our global industrial packaging business, including our expertise in bag-in-box packaging solutions.
This felt like the perfect moment to sit down with them. To go beyond titles. To understand who they are, how they think, and what drives them.
In this three-part video series, you’ll get to know Guillem and Stefaan from a personal and professional perspective. They introduce themselves — and each other — reflect on the legacy of Stan and Lynn Pattyn and Benjamin de Chilly, and share the lessons that will guide them moving forward.
Most importantly, they open up about their vision for the future of Pattyn within Duravant.
PART 1
Get to know our new presidents
Guillem Clofent, President of Mespack and Pattyn, has Spanish roots and has built his entire career in industrial markets. He has been leading Mespack for the past 7 years — a company that has also been part of the Duravant Group for the same amount of time. He knows Duravant inside out and has already experienced a similar transition before. Mespack, based in Barcelona, specializes in flexible packaging solutions, also as end-of-line automation.
Stefaan, an engineer by education, built his experience close to the customer — starting as a service engineer and evolving into roles in sales and business development. He has been part of the Pattyn Group for the past 6 years.
Both have lived and worked abroad, which makes them feel right at home in an international, multicultural environment like Pattyn and Mespack.
In this video, discover how they got to know each other over the past months, how they are similar — yet complementary — and how this strengthens their leadership.
Stefaan also shares what Pattyn’s next step with Duravant truly means and why he is convinced it’s the right move for the future.
And one last question… how quickly will Guillem learn Dutch? 😉
