How Pattyn’s automation began packing fats
The first collaboration dates back to the 1980s, when Etienne Baeten and Paul Pattyn joined forces and the very first AZIM was installed. Since then, Baeten & Co has consistently believed in Pattyn’s capabilities.
“That’s why we were immediately willing to implement the new generation of bag inserters, the RAZIM-51,” explains Mathias Baeten.
“The prototype was installed here, and we fine-tuned the machine together. We’re very satisfied with the result,” he adds.
What are the key advantages of the new bag inserter, the RAZIM-51?
Since the introduction of the RAZIM-51, no plastic bag fragments have been entrapped in the product. Thanks to the new generation of bag inserting technology, the bag is perfectly positioned in the corners, with a flat bottom and no HDPE film trapped in the product.
Another important benefit is flexibility. As a hybrid bag inserting machine, the RAZIM-51 can handle different formats and weights — giving Baeten & Co the flexibility it needs for future production demands.
“We’ve already built 50 years together, and we’re committed to continuing that collaboration well into the future,” Mathias concludes.
