On Sunday 10 September 2017, 30.000 enthusiastic spectators watched 65 teams tore down the challenging trail of Kluisbergen (Belgium) in home-built racing cars. They had to challenge six obstacles and a slope of 12%.
More than 700 teams registered for the sixth edition of the Red Bull Soap Box Race, but the jury only selected 65 to participate and the Pattyn team was one of them.
During 5 weeks the fine tuning team spent their free time to build the racing car in the shape of a box with company slogan “We think inside the Box”. With a perfectly tuned car and a first class pilot, the Pattyn team wanted to be the fastest to finish.
The hard work and great team spirit paid off, the Pattyn Team hit down in one piece and set the quickest time of 39 seconds.
