Challenge
1. Improve the quality and flexibility of the current packaging process.
2. Double the capacity to 8 t / h of frozen sour cherries.
Solution
1. Combine the existing filling station with a case erector and bag inserter.
2. Integration of a flexible conveyor system between the bag inserter and existing filling station.
3. Upgrade of the existing filling station with a Pattyn Interface system.
Results
1. A storage area with empty cases is no longer needed, cases are made just in time.
2. Perfectly inserted bags.
3. Limited product drop level and no product spillage thanks to the interface system.
4. Flexibility to pack with the same line both deepfrozen sour cherries in 10kg or 14kg boxes or in consumer bags (packed into one box).
5. Running double capacity of 8 t / h of frozen cherries.
